Rosie the Riveter.
Iconic image representing working women during World War II.
When men went off to war, women took over their jobs. Women proved they can do the same work. The war gave women the opportunity to break out of the housewife stereotype and join the armed forces.
Rosie represents influence, potential, strength, purpose, willpower and feminism.
Even today, 70+ years after the war, Rosie is still an important symbol for women. I look up to her and everything she stands/stood for.
**Thought Fight Song perfectly embodied everything Rosie ♥
You look absolutely gorgeous, love this x

Hey Cassidy! I just started reading your blog two days ago and I really like it. I actually went to the Belgian première of Suffragette yesterday evening and it made me think of this post. “Rosie represents influence, potential, strength, purpose, willpower and feminism.”
Anyway, keep up the good work~ ^^

The movie was really beautiful (I’m not sure if “beautiful” is the best word to describe it though)
I think you will like it a lot ^^ I don’t want to say too much about it because I personally hate spoilers haha
Thank you 🙂 I just started my blog, but I’m really enjoying it
